The agility show is on the road
The agility season is in full swing now as the agility 'roadshow' moves around the country each week following the competitions. Although, I reckon there is a competition going on somewhere around the country most weekends of the year ... maybe most days!
I tend to focus on the main season. I'm definitely becoming more of a fair weather agility competitor and with young Moog coming out later in the year (if he's ready) any spare weekends will be spent preparing him for his agility career.
On Bank holiday Monday Agility Team GB had the first official training day for the 2016 team going to the European Open (EO) next month. We made full use of the excellent facilities at Nottingham Trent University to help the handlers with their preparations.
Each year we get new handlers join the team and its great to see the dynamics and watch the them training together; being able to work and support each other is such an important part of any team. Most of the agility we do is individual competitions.
The handlers get issued their team clothing and other goodies from the sponsors later this month. Then it's not long before we head off for the Junior EO in Slovakia and the adults in Calais.
