Damp Easter Eggs and Chocolate

We had a good weekend at the Easter show at Ardingly. The weather was mostly damp but it didn't interrupt the show. I achieved my main objective, to gain a place in the Olympia qualifier; I was happy with that. A 3rd place in the G7 jumping was an added bonus.

UpAndOver + friends provided a ring party yesterday, that's always good fun.  We got though the class in good time helped by a healthy supply of chocolate and Easter Eggs.

I was very pleased with Devo over the weekend. He recalled back every time on the exercise area even though there were dozens of other dogs running around. He met his brother and his sister Mist, they're looking really good. Next year they could be competing there - scary thought!

Today was spent drying out the caravan, the dogs beds and the van. It was a glorious day although we were completely worn out after the weekend. Although next weekend could be even more tiring, European Qualifier on Saturday, Scottish Border Collie Champ show on Sunday.

Hope you enjoyed your Easter.

Well done Mark! You & Lauren seem to have had a great weekend. I managed another win in jumping with Lily & a 3rd in Agility, but should've been 1st if I had been concentrating! Also had a fab round in agility on the sunday, but set her too close to 1st jump and she took it out. Gutted to find out we were 1.2 seconds faster than the winning dog! Oh well. Starters qualified now and Olympia trial for me in a few weeks. Still have that bottle of Whisky for you! :-)

Thanks Dani. What a shame she took the jump out sounds like it was a potential winning round.

Good luck for the Olympia qualifier.

Looking forward to the whisky.

I am confused so it may not be Olympia qualifier, but definitely in KC Starters at the festival, and Agility Club thing next week. By next year I will have got my head round it!!
