Vermont Agility Seminar - Day 2
(Blog written earlier this week)
Over the last two days we've been running an agility seminar for a group of American handlers who are coming over to the Kennel Club International Agility Festival in August.
We've been asked to help them with their preparations which includes practice on typical UK and FCI style courses, the team class and general knowledge of agility in the UK.
The seminar is taking place at the Vonn Trapp family lodge high up in the hills of beautiful Vermont. It has to be the most stunning setting to do dog agility I've ever been to. (sorry Woodside, it just pips your venue). We are surrounded by mountains, rivers and forests it's the most idilic place you could ever wish to be doing agility in.
Today we finished a bit early and fitted in a visit to the Ben & Jerry ice cream factory (the actual factory where Ben & Jerry started from). We had an interesting tour around the factory and of course tasted some lovely ice cream.
We had a BBQ diner in the evening and then got set up to watch the 4th of July firework celebrations in the evening. Of course being Brits we needed to keep a low profile for these celebrations.
