Attitude of Gratiitude
I was sent this from a forum I belong to, I don't think it was just aimed at me, more of a general posting, I thought it summed up a lot of what I like to promote.

Do you want to live your life to the fullest? Then one important thing you should do is cultivate an attitude of gratitude. What this means is that you should choose to view life in a positive way. Things might not happen your way, but you still chooseto view them in a positive light. For instance, you speak positive words instead of negative ones.
An attitude of gratitude gives you so many benefits, not having it is a huge disadvantage. Having it, on the other hand, will give your life a boost.
Here are nine reasons why you should cultivate an attitude of gratitude:
1. It brightens your day.
This is the most obvious benefit. Gratitude will fill your heart with happiness. Even when you are in a difficult time, you will be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You will have hope.
2. It helps you think more clearly.
Since you have a positive outlook on life, you won’t clutter your mind with negative thoughts. That way you can put your situation in a better perspective. You will have the clarity to make the right decisions.
3. It makes you healthier.
You are less likely to feel stressed or depressed. You will be healthier and happier as a result.
4. It makes you more likable.
Who do you want to be around: those who complain all the time or those who say positive things? The latter, of course. Being grateful makes you more likable.
One side effect of it is that it can open doors of opportunities. The fact is, people want to work with those they like. If you are likable, opportunities will come your way.
5. It makes those around you happier.
Not only will this attitude make you happier, but it will also make those around you happier. Why? Because positivity is contagious. For example, when you cheerfully greet a friend, you brighten their day. That makes this friend more likely to brighten someone else’s day. The positivity spreads.
6. It energizes you to overcome challenges.
Being grateful makes you enthusiastic about life. You will have the energy to tackle the challenges in front of you. Needless to say, it will make you much more likely to overcome them.
7. It helps you recover more quickly.
Setbacks are inevitable, but if you have an attitude of gratitude, you will be able to recover more quickly.
Let’s say you lose your job. Instead of blaming yourself or others for the situation, you will quickly learn the lesson and move on. You will be ready for the next challenge in a much shorter time than those who are negative.
8. It opens the way to compassion.
Being grateful means that you are less obsessed with your problems. You don’t fill your mind only with your needs. Instead, you have the mental space to think about other people and their problems. This opens the way to compassion. The world will become a better place as a result.
9. It makes you more aware of opportunities.
Being grateful makes you accustomed to seeing the positive side of things. So, when there is a new development, you will automatically think of the possibilities it opens rather than the problems it brings. It allows you to act on them sooner rather than later.
